Devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies
Maintain relations with relevant interested parties such as customers and regulatory agencies.
Liaising with local regulatory authorities and manage their portal by uploading OHS MS and quarterly updating OHS performance reports and incident investigation reports.
Maintaining an up-to-date certification from local regulatory authorities relevant to OHS
Communicate with regulatory agencies on renewing the operational fitness certificate (OFC) and to arrange an HSE NOC from the regulatory agencies to renew the OFC.
Create the legal register related to health and safety within the business. Monitor the evaluation of compliance to the legal register.
Conduct internal Health and Safety Management system audit in compliance with ISO 45001 standard.
Maintaining ISO 45001 and 14001 certifications
Loss Prevention Committee meetings to be held quarterly.
Conduct management review meeting (MRM) with the station management to review health and safety performance and continual improvement.
Review and develop health and safety policies, procedures and guidance, in keeping with best practice and make recommendations on their implementation and application.
Consult with senior managers and other line managers and give appropriate advice on formulating best-practice policies and procedures.
Provide independent professional advice and technical information where appropriate to senior managers and all line managers to enabling Aramex to discharge its statutory, common and moral obligations, keeping staff and Managers abreast of changes in HS&E Legislation and Codes of Practice.
Provide, or where necessary source, training for staff in relation to Health and Safety policies, practice and procedures.
Liaise with the local government and HSE organizations on Health and Safety department to ensure Aramex policies, practices and procedures meet their requirements.
Propose, implement and monitor measures necessary to comply with HSE Legislation and Codes of Practice
Carry out or arrange workplace safety audits, inspections as set by Aramex and ensure that any remedial recommendations are implemented.
Investigate all incidents and accidents (gather all information, coordinate between all concerned parties, investigate the root cause, inform concerned teams to notify clients, rectify the procedure or system in order that the incident doesn\'t occur in the future).
Manage and maintain Aramex safety standards on all hazardous materials and that effective Risk Assessments are in place to manage the handling and use of such substances, all assessments to be reviewed periodically.
Create Health and Safety training presentation as per H&S training need analyses.
Deliver H&S training to the audience.
Conduct Safety Induction for all employees and contractors
Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency. Maintains records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements
Ensure all non-routine jobs, maintenance, work at height and high-risk routine jobs like mechanical lifting activities are carried out only after obtaining valid work permit.
Scrutinize the work permit for any deficiency and approve the permit only after inspecting the worksite for any known hazards, protections required, and all precautionary measures / PPE\'s been taken as per the job.
Continuously Monitor high risk activities at all times.
Supervise the regular inspection of firefighting, safety, and emergency response equipment.
Ensure that contractors receive HSE inductions for their operations and induction checklist document maintained.
Ensure that all incidents, near misses and accidents are reported on timely basis.
Promote positive safety culture amongst employees by effective health and safety programs like toolbox talks, circulating HSE alerts, safety award schemes, campaigns etc.
Encourage all employees to report any unsafe acts, conditions, hazardous situations and participate in Health and safety matters and to make HSE Suggestions.
Ensure all employees maintain healthy and safe working conditions in their work area.
Minimum Requirements: * 5 years of experience in the Transport and Logistics Industry
Engineering Degree
NEBOSH minimum level 3 Certification
OSHAD Certification
Dangerous Goods Cat 6 Certification
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification
