: Supervise and participate in the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System, to ensure
adherence to Company\'s established HSE guidelines, standards and codes of practice. Monitor and advise on Site activities to \xe2\x80\x8ebe performed safely. Promote awareness of site personnel to HSE. Investigate incidents / accidents. Assist the On Scene \xe2\x80\x8eCommander and Emergency Teams in emergency situations. Facilitate and Participate in Process Hazard Analysis & \xe2\x80\x8eparticipate in Projects Health, Safety and Environmental Reviews. Initiate ,participate and facilitate Auditing of project \xe2\x80\x8eoperations , equipment and ,personnel and procedures for coping with HSEMS, EMS 14001 and OHSAS 18001 \xe2\x80\x8eacquired certifications

• Maintain and control daily HSE practices with regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are \xe2\x80\x8eidentified,\xe2\x80\x8e

precautionary measures are taken and advice trades Supervisors on HSE matters.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Monitor and control implementation of all procedures related to the maintenance and effectiveness \xe2\x80\x8eof safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment and inspect work activities and equipment to ensure \xe2\x80\x8ecorrect operation and that procedures are implemented. Ensure that effective records are kept and updated \xe2\x80\x8efor all equipment under his control.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Promote safe working systems and procedures. Monitor and advise on proper application of "Permit \xe2\x80\x8eto Work" system, conduct gas and atmospheric tests, participating in actual "Job Watch" as and where \xe2\x80\x8enecessary; such as hot

tapping, mechanical sealing / plugging, entry into dangerous confined spaces and ensuring that all \xe2\x80\x8esafety
regulations and practices are adhered to.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Coordinate and participate in identifying and evaluating HSE hazards / risks and recommend measures \xe2\x80\x8eto reduce them through company relevant Process Hazard Analysis technique. .\xe2\x80\x8e
• Coordinate and participate in the provision of HSE awareness in accordance with ISO 14001 and \xe2\x80\x8eOHSAS 18001 specifications and conduct some specialized courses (e.g. H2S training , Permit to \xe2\x80\x8eWork System training &

refreshers) . Prepare programs, arrange participation in conjunction with line management and give \xe2\x80\x8electures using
specialized audio visual equipment, hand-outs and practical demonstration.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Participate as a leader or member of an emergency team, providing first line consults / advises to \xe2\x80\x8eOn Scene Commander concerning containment of emergency, and participate in detail ed first aid or \xe2\x80\x8eemergency action dictated by situation, provide reports on situations existing at the time of such incidents \xe2\x80\x8eand present comments on causes and possible remedies and train fresh / Temporary \xe2\x80\x9cOn Scene \xe2\x80\x8ecommanders\xe2\x80\x9d on their prime roles during emergency & deliver periodic refreshers.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Investigate all industrial and non-industrial incidents and accidents involving personnel, plant and \xe2\x80\x8eequipment including dangerous occurrences. Analyze causes, determine future action to reduce these \xe2\x80\x8eoccurrences, prepare and

maintain statistical records of all incidents , and near misses . Prepare the related periodic reports \xe2\x80\x8ehighlighting and
analyzing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated and \xe2\x80\x8eunderstood by all on-site personnel and participate in giving lectures and talks on such activities during \xe2\x80\x8escheduled inter-departmental

HSE Meetings.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure th e effectiveness of HSE programs \xe2\x80\x8eon critical operations/equipment and procedures at assigned location present recommendations for \xe2\x80\x8eimprovement and follow - up their implementation. Prepare the related periodic reports for critical \xe2\x80\x8eprocedures , highlighting and analyzing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Prepare detailed lists of foreseeable HSE requirements for operational needs, to be incorporated into \xe2\x80\x8ethe annual budget. Maintain adequate stocks of Health, Safety and Environment equipment.\xe2\x80\x8e

Ensure that all procedures and data pertaining to all available hazardous substances including radioactive \xe2\x80\x8esources are available and that necessary precautions are observed when transporting, storing and handling.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Participate in investigating environmental accidents / incidents and in eliminating pollution sources \xe2\x80\x8eto a practicable minimum.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Promote Waste Management programs for collection, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous \xe2\x80\x8eand non - hazardous waste.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Participate in promoting the occupational health programs with all their aspects and monitor work force \xe2\x80\x8eexposure to personal hazards and ensure safe working within permissible limits (e.g. Noise , glare , \xe2\x80\x8echemicals , toxicity ,\xe2\x80\x8e

NORMS , ergonomics , etc) , and propose proper safeguards.\xe2\x80\x8e

• Effectively participate in development of UAE national Fire&Safety Technicians.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Conduct other duties as directed by team leader in the spirit of conventional HSE Engineer area of \xe2\x80\x8especialization.\xe2\x80\x8e
• Temporarily or permanently replacing / acting on behalf of Field Area HSE Engineer for the later \xe2\x80\x8efull job description and responsibilities.\xe2\x80\x8e
