We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Engineer specializing in Steel to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment through effective risk management and continuous improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
Conduct risk assessments and root cause analysis to identify potential hazards in the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD software for creating schematics and designs related to safety improvements.
Oversee project scheduling related to HSE initiatives and ensure timely completion of safety audits.
Provide training on safety protocols and best practices for employees working on assembly lines, robotics, welding, fabrication, and tooling processes.
Monitor the performance of industrial equipment and implement continuous improvement strategies using lean manufacturing principles.
Engage in regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement in safety practices and equipment operation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC), CNC programming, CAM programming, vision inspection systems, and robotics is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
