Job Overview:
We are seeking a
highly experienced HSE Engineer or Senior Safety Officer
with a
minimum of 7+ years of experience in the UAE
,
strictly within road and infrastructure projects
. Candidates with only building experience will
not
be considered. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations, and promoting a safety-first culture across our project sites.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, or relevant)
NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
Level 6 Diploma
in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (municipality-approved)
NEBOSH International Diploma (Preferred)
Minimum
7 years of HSE experience in UAE
, specifically in
roads and infrastructure projects
At least
3 years in an HSE management or supervisory role
Experience with approvals and compliance from authorities such as
RTA, DM, DDA, Trakhees, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce project-specific HSE plans and procedures
Conduct site risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations
Coordinate with consultants and regulatory bodies for safety compliance and inspections
Lead site safety meetings and conduct awareness sessions for workers and supervisors
Maintain all safety documentation, inspection logs, and reports
Ensure full compliance with UAE HSE laws, codes, and client safety requirements
Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices across all work areas
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, especially in infrastructure
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Effective leadership and communication skills
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site safety needs
High attention to detail and ethical responsibility
Important:
Only candidates with direct experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE will be considered.
Building project experience alone will
not
qualify for this role.
