Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and safe working practices in compliance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-miss events; document findings and track corrective and preventive measures.
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs for staff and subcontractors.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to site safety rules and procedures.
Support the preparation, review, and update of HSE documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to reinforce a proactive safety culture across all operations.
Maintain comprehensive HSE records, reports, statistics, and compliance documentation.
Participate in internal and external safety audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor environmental controls and waste management practices in line with regulatory and company requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role within construction, industrial, facilities management, or similar environments.
Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or IOSH (mandatory or preferred depending on role).
Thorough knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors.
Proven ability to conduct safety training and promote HSE awareness at all organizational levels.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
