Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international HSE laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Prepare and implement HSE plans, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
Conduct HSE induction, awareness, and refresher training for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Carry out regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification exercises.
Perform risk assessments and develop job safety analyses (JSA) and method statements.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and suggest corrective actions.
Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, emissions, and chemical handling.
Ensure the availability and proper use of PPE and other safety equipment on site.
Maintain all HSE documentation and prepare monthly safety performance reports.
Liaise with project management and regulatory bodies regarding safety concerns.
Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 1
-2 years
HSE experience in
construction
or
oil & gas
environments.
Certifications such as
NEBOSH IGC
,
IOSH Managing Safely
, or
OSHA 30-Hour
are
mandatory
.
Familiarity with international HSE standards and practices.
Strong knowledge of construction/oil & gas work processes, equipment, and site hazards.
