Job Summary
The HSE Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations. The role involves conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and training programs to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Key Responsibilities * HSE Policy & Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to legal and corporate safety and environmental requirements.
• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:

• Conduct workplace risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and environmental impact assessments.
• Recommend corrective actions and control measures to mitigate risks.
• Incident Investigation & Reporting:

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes.
• Prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures.
• Safety Training & Awareness:

• Organize and conduct HSE training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.
• Audits & Inspections:

• Perform regular safety inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness drills.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling.
• Environmental Management:

• Monitor waste management, pollution control, and energy conservation initiatives.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Emergency Response & Crisis Management:

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans (ERP).
• Coordinate with emergency services and conduct evacuation drills.
• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain HSE records, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare monthly HSE performance reports for management.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, CSP, or equivalent HSE certifications preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in HSE roles, preferably in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
