Job Title: HSE Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

HSE Engineer

to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and to promote a safe and sustainable workplace. The ideal candidate will assess risks, implement safety measures, and work to continuously improve HSE performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Coordinate and deliver HSE training sessions for employees and contractors. Maintain and update HSE documentation and reports, including safety data sheets, incident logs, and compliance records. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all required licenses, permits, and safety standards are maintained. Promote a strong HSE culture through awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and active employee engagement. Lead emergency response planning and participate in drills and simulations. Support sustainability initiatives and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001). Monitor and report key HSE performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HSE role. Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Work Conditions:

May require travel to project sites or operational facilities. Must be willing to work in challenging environments (e.g., construction sites, offshore platforms, manufacturing plants)
