HSE Engineer

Job Purpose:

Ensure the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all construction activities, minimizing risks, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with company standards and UAE regulations. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions. Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and contractors. Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation as per company and legal requirements. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety regulations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure HSE compliance in all project phases. Participate in emergency response planning and drills. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to improve safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years' experience as HSE Engineer in construction projects. Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001). Experience in risk assessments, audits, and accident investigations. Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills. Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting software.
