Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems to ensure full compliance with UAE regulations and international best practices.

Job Summary:

The HSE Engineer will lead and manage all HSE-related activities across project, ensuring a safe working environment for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and plans.

Ensure compliance with UAE HSE laws, regulations, and project requirements.

Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections.

Monitor HSE performance and prepare regular reports for management.

Lead accident/incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Provide HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks.

Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants on HSE matters.

Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure required approvals and permits.

Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 to 12 years of total HSE experience.

At least 2 years of experience in the UAE in a similar HSE Manager role.

Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international standards.

Proven leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are mandatory.

Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.

Having previous experience working in Abu Dhabi especially for governmental projects.

Valid UAE driving license is required.
