As an HSE Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure a secure working environment and promote a culture of safety throughout the projects by leveraging your expertise in safety protocols and regulations. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:
Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and protocols.
Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees.
Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
Maintaining safety documentation and records.
Collaborating with management to develop and improve safety policies and procedures.
Keeping abreast of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the marine industry.
Familiarity with safety management systems and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
Knowledge of maritime safety standards and practices is advantageous.
