The HR Specialist is responsible for handling human resources operations at the site level, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR procedures. The role includes recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, training, and administrative support while maintaining strong communication with the HR main office to ensure smooth workforce management.
Key Tasks:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in recruiting skilled workers, mechanics, drivers, and administrative staff for the transport company.
Conduct initial screening of candidates and schedule interviews in coordination with the HR main office.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of employee files.
Employee Relations & Welfare
Address employee concerns and escalate their issues to the HR main office.
Act as a point of contact between management and employees for HR-related matters.
Promote a positive work environment by supporting employee engagement programs.
Assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions when needed
Payroll & Attendance Management
Monitor employee attendance, leaves, and overtime records.
Ensure timely submission of attendance reports to the HR main office for payroll processing.
Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
Communication & Coordination with HR Main Office
Act as the key link between the HR main office and the site, ensuring smooth HR operations.
Provide regular updates to the HR main office regarding staffing, payroll, and employee concerns.
Implement company-wide HR initiatives and policies at the site level.
Health, Safety & Workplace Compliance
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at the worksite.
Work with the safety team to implement and enforce workplace safety measures.
Promote employee well-being and assist in handling workplace incidents.
Qualifications & Skills required:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in human resources, business administration or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
Additional SAP-specific training or certifications is an advantage
HR certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Ability to implement systems and data record
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Able to work under pressure and own initiative
Valid driving license
