Job Description

POSITION: HR OFFICER - Arabic speaker The BFL Group is one of the world's leading off-price retailer of fashion and homeware. Based in United Arab Emirates, we serve over six markets across the Middle East and Europe. Our journey started when our unique off-price business model - Brands for Less - was introduced to Lebanon in 1996. Four years later, in the year 2000, we had a home in the UAE. Our goal is to delight customers and entice them back with the promise of exceptional pieces that excite - all at up to 80% off the original retail price for fashion designer brands. Our unique "Treasure Hunt" model ensures there is always something new to explore, desire and discover within our stores. Our customers walk out with new items every time they visit any of our stores. As Brands For Less, driven by optimized rapid-purchase strategies, became a phenomenon across the Middle East, we expanded to engage new audiences. We acquired exclusive rights to the Tchibo franchise in the MENA region, selling the German brand's homeware and apparel at very competitive prices associated with premium customer care environment. Our UAE presence evolved into our central operational hub from where we distribute rapidly to other markets. While we are proud of the customer trust, support and loyalty we have achieved, we never take it for granted and are always looking at new ways to delight. We have launched our Toys For Less concept that extends our off-price retail model to toys, kids apparel and party costumes. We have also recently acquired franchise rights for Korean brand MUMUSO that we have taken to Lebanon, Malta and Spain. We have also acquired the franchise rights of the Spanish home concept brand Muy Mucho for UAE, KSA and Malta. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Timekeeping / Attendance (Shops)

  • Verification and approval of attendance discrepancies in Oracle.
  • Preparation and issuance of monthly attendance memo
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Monitoring of the following:
  • Yearly Absences, Monthly Attendance (Absences, Late Coming, Early Going & Incomplete Punching)
  • Sick Leave, Holiday offset, overtime
  • Answer staff inquiries related to attendance and payroll
  • Shop In-charge monthly schedule preparation, reliever assignment
Promotion / Demotion / Staff Movement
  • Follow up evaluation and send notice for staff movement * Responsible in coordination and documentation of staff movement such as Branch Transfer, Change Designation, Promotion & Demotion * Staff movement system update
  • Memo entry and distribution relative to staff movement
  • Activate and deactivate BFL POS access
  • Cashier training certificate preparation and issuance (JD, Training evaluation)
Disciplinary Memo/ Incident Reports
  • Preparation and issuance of disciplinary memo
Cancellation, Termination, Resignation and Renewal
  • Consolidation of intent letters of employees and approval of intent letters * Coordinate process for resignations and terminations * Holiday/ over time confirmation for resigned / endo / terminated staff
  • Provide attendance clearance, ticket request, and final settlements request and verification (Cherry)
  • Certificate of Employment Preparation
  • Releasing of documents to employees
  • Documents consolidation for renewal (Al huda and 8 pcs latest photo)
  • Signed contract submission and distribution
Medical Card/ Insurance Benefit Workmen's Compensation
  • Assist employees relative to inquiries with medical or workmen's compensation
Passport Renewal and Claiming
  • Coordinate and instruct process for renewal
  • Timely consolidation and coordination of appointments
  • Passport release requisition for renewal and claiming
Administration / Clerical Tasks
  • Distribute ATM cards, Emirates ID, employment contract copy
  • Uniform issuance every 6 months
  • Preparation and maintenance of employee records in the 201 file
  • Scanning, filing, distribution of memo's and documents as assigned
  • Process employee reimbursements
  • Processing of staff documents requests (passport, salary certificate, COE, etc.)
  • Sending of oracle manuals (Oracle user manual, time keeping, vacation leave) * Takes participation in all HR activities and programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned in HR
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: AED5,800.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
