Job Description

Job Summary:
The Housing Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order in residential facilities, such as dormitories, apartment complexes, shelters, or assisted living homes. Duties include cleaning common areas, performing minor maintenance tasks, assisting residents, and ensuring compliance with housing policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning & Maintenance:

Perform daily cleaning of common areas (lobbies, hallways, restrooms, kitchens, lounges).
Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal.
Sanitize surfaces, mop floors, and vacuum carpets.
Report major maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, structural) to supervisors.
Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.

2. Resident Support & Safety:

Monitor the premises for security and report suspicious activity.
Assist residents with basic inquiries or concerns.
Enforce housing rules (noise policies, visitor guidelines, etc.).
Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

3. Administrative & Operational Duties:

Maintain logs of cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Assist with room inspections before check-ins/check-outs.
Help with inventory management of supplies.
Support front desk operations if required (key distribution, signing in guests).
