The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. This role supports the Housekeeping team, coordinates tasks, and ensures smooth, efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and guide Room Attendants and Housekeeping staff during daily operations
Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards
Assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor staff performance
Report maintenance issues and follow up with Engineering
Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
Maintain inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning materials
Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and hotel policies
Support the Executive Housekeeper in daily planning and departmental administration
Handle guest requests professionally and ensure prompt service
Uphold hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
Requirements
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Team Leader in a hotel
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage a multicultural team
Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
