Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Supervision & Training

• Assign duties and inspect work performed by housekeeping staff (room attendants, housemen, laundry staff).
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel standards.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address disciplinary issues when necessary.
• Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.

2. Quality Control & Inspections

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness meets established standards.
• Report maintenance issues (e.g., broken furniture, leaks) to the engineering department.
• Ensure lost-and-found items are properly logged and stored.

3. Inventory & Supplies Management

• Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
• Submit requisitions for supplies and equipment as needed.
• Control costs by minimizing waste and optimizing resource usage.

4. Guest Service & Communication

• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Coordinate with front desk regarding room status (ready, occupied, out-of-order).
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with guests and staff.
