The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain guest rooms according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms.
Replace linens and towels, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and tea.
Inspect guest rooms for damage or maintenance issues and report any discrepancies or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
Ensure that all guest room equipment and appliances are in proper working order, and report any malfunctions or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
Follow safety and security protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, linen closets, and housekeeping carts, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities, housekeeping services, or assistance with room-related issues.
Collaborate with other members of the housekeeping team to prioritize tasks, coordinate work assignments, and ensure timely completion of daily cleaning responsibilities.
Adhere to departmental productivity and quality standards, striving to exceed guest expectations and enhance overall satisfaction.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and colleagues.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and carry heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
