Job Description

Housekeeping responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and order in residential or commercial buildings through tasks like cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. They also manage laundry, restock supplies, and report any needed repairs or damages. Additional duties can include errands, managing household inventories, or assisting with food and wardrobe. Cleaning and sanitation

Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dust all surfaces, including floors, furniture, and fixtures. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs. Wipe down and polish surfaces. Perform deep cleaning and sanitize equipment. Empty trash containers and manage waste disposal.
Laundry and linen management

Wash, dry, and iron clothing, linens, and other textiles. Sort and fold laundry. Change and arrange bed linens and towels in guest rooms or residential settings.
Supply and inventory management

Restock consumables like toiletries, paper products, and cleaning supplies. Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies. Keep track of and report any missing or broken items.
Maintenance and reporting

Identify and report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to management or homeowners. Submit maintenance tickets as needed. Report and log any lost and found items.
Additional duties

Pack and unpack suitcases for travel. Run errands. Prepare light meals and assist with grocery shopping if needed. Receive visitors and provide tours in some settings. Clean upholstered furniture. Assist with other reasonable duties as assigned.
