Job Purpose:
The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Housekeeping Department by coordinating daily operations, ensuring effective communication between teams, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The role acts as a key link between housekeeping operations and other hotel departments to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and room status updates
Prepare, distribute, and maintain accurate housekeeping reports and schedules
Act as a central communication point between Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry
Monitor task allocations and follow up on completion to ensure service standards are met
Assist with administrative duties including attendance records, leave tracking, and documentation
Handle guest requests and special requirements promptly and professionally
Support supervisors with inventory tracking, requisitions, and linen control
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
Assist in managing last-minute changes, priorities, and operational challenges
Ensure smooth coordination during high-occupancy periods and special events
Qualifications & Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Housekeeping operations, preferably in a supervisory or coordination role
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Coordinator or Public Area Supervisor is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
Familiarity with hotel systems and reporting tools (Opera, HotSOS, or similar) is an advantage
Professional appearance with a strong guest-focused mindset
