Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Room Cleaning & Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens. Ensure all surfaces, including countertops, mirrors, and windows, are spotless and free of dust and debris. Replace towels, toiletries, and replenish room amenities. Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, lighting issues) to the appropriate departments.

Public Area Cleaning:

Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and stairwells. Ensure these areas are neat, tidy, and welcoming at all times.

Laundry and Linen Management:

Collect used linens, towels, and other laundry items. Sort and prepare laundry for washing, ensuring proper handling and storage of clean linens. Ensure towels and linens are returned to rooms in a timely and organized manner.

Guest Interaction:

Provide excellent customer service to guests by responding to requests or concerns in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with any special guest needs (extra pillows, blankets, etc.) while maintaining guest privacy.

Inventory Management:

Keep track of cleaning supplies and room amenities. Report low inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.

Health & Safety Standards:

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Ensure compliance with sanitation standards to prevent the spread of germs and contamination.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the housekeeping supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Assist with training new housekeeping staff when necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and with attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift, carry, and push cleaning equipment and materials. Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

This position may require working weekends, holidays, and irregular hours. A uniform and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required as part of health and safety guidelines.
