Housekeeping Attendant - Healthcare Background

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure a clean, hygienic, and comfortable environment within healthcare facilities, patient rooms, and common areas. The Housekeeping Attendant plays a critical role in maintaining strict hygiene standards, ensuring patient and staff safety, and providing quality service in line with healthcare project requirements. The position demands attention to detail, adherence to infection control protocols, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Cleaning and making patient/guest rooms, including changing bed linens. Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in patient rooms, corridors, and common areas. Dusting and sanitizing furniture, surfaces, and high-touch points. Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, ensuring infection control compliance. Replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies as required. Emptying trash containers and disposing of biomedical and general waste safely. Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly. Assisting patients/guests with basic requests while maintaining professionalism. Following healthcare-specific safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols. Maintaining confidentiality and upholding hospital/organization standards at all times.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

10th or 12th qualified.

Experience:

1-2 years of housekeeping experience

mandatorily in a healthcare/hospital environment.
