Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for guests and staff. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Room Cleaning

Clean, sanitize, and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors according to company standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities. Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors. Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor.

2. Public Areas & Common Spaces

Clean hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other assigned public areas. Ensure all common areas are well-maintained and presentable at all times.

3. Stocking & Inventory

Replenish room supplies (soap, shampoo, tissue, etc.) as needed. Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in clean and orderly condition. Report low inventory levels to the supervisor.

4. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Handle cleaning chemicals properly and follow Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines. Comply with company policies and hotel standards.

5. Guest Service

Greet guests politely and respond promptly to their requests. Report lost and found items to the supervisor immediately. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

May require working on weekends, holidays, and shifts. Frequent standing, bending, and lifting. Exposure to cleaning chemicals (with provided safety gear).
