Job Description
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and hygiene in assigned areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Duties include cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while adhering to established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas (lobbies, hallways, elevators, etc.).
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock guest amenities.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all surfaces.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Report maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Ensure guest privacy and security while servicing rooms.
- Follow lost-and-found procedures for any items left behind.
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards (e.g., OSHA, hotel policies).
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Follow infection control protocols (e.g., COVID-19 guidelines).
- Assist colleagues during peak periods or special projects.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
