The Hotel Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment across the hotel premises. This role ensures all electrical components are operating efficiently and safely to provide uninterrupted service to guests and support hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, circuits, wiring, lighting systems, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, meeting rooms, and common areas.
Install and maintain electrical systems, including power outlets, switches, emergency lighting, generators, transformers, and circuit breakers.
Respond promptly to electrical-related maintenance requests and emergencies.
Monitor and maintain building management systems (BMS), elevators, HVAC controls, and backup power systems.
Maintain records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet hotel standards and local electrical codes.
Coordinate with other engineering team members to support overall maintenance tasks.
Maintain a safe working environment and follow all health and safety regulations.
Recommend energy-saving improvements or upgrades to improve efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Valid electrical license or certification (as per local regulations).
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrician or electrical technician, preferably in a hotel, commercial building, or facility management setting.
Knowledge of low and high voltage systems, power distribution, and safety protocols.
Familiarity with hotel property management systems and building automation is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Capable of working independently and in a team.
Must be flexible with working hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
