Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines, including mise-en-place for daily service and special functions.
Quality control:
Ensure that all food prepared meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Inventory and cost control:
Manage food stock, check for spoilage, and control food costs within the designated section.
Hygiene and safety:
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Supervision and training:
Instruct and supervise junior chefs (such as commis chefs) and help train them on preparation techniques and kitchen procedures.
Support to senior chefs:
Assist senior chefs (like the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef) with daily tasks, including running a specific station and contributing to the creation of new dishes.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with superiors and kitchen staff about daily requirements, special functions, and menu specials.
Execution:
Coordinate with other sections to ensure all food is cooked, seasoned, and served in a timely manner, making sure all dishes are ready simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
