Meet and Greet all guests and potential guests at the front of the Restaurant by ensuring the following;
Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both wait staff and tables are ready in line with opening standard
Welcoming guests to the Restaurant , by using the Restaurant name
Maintaining impeccable uniform and personal presentation standard in accordance with hotel policy
Ensure Restaurant operating equipment is clean and in working order
Inquiring if they have a reservation and assists accordingly to their respecting table, if nothing in the reservation lists kindly booked if they do
Creating a reservation for them with their dining preferences
Being attentive to guest requests
Escort guests to their preferred table or reserved table and seat guest accordingly to restaurant standard, give the food menu along with the beverage menu
Take telephone booking and document in the reservation system according to the restaurant standard
Answers phone and answer question concerning the menu and restaurant
Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible , re[porting all incident to your Supervisor
Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of hostess station
Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of all food menus and drinks menu
Maintain details knowledge of menu , including daily special
Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied table
Takes guests information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
Runs the floor plan board
Interacts with guests are they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience
Fills to-go orders, if applicable
Performs other duties as directed
What we need from you
Full time position with the estimate percentage of daily physical requirement with the 100% stands during entire shift and 50% verbally communicates with guests and phone callers, reaches, bends and stoops frequently and carries 20-lb highchair about 10 times per shift medium distance of 20-30 feet.
Prior All Day Dine In restaurant experience as a similar role, familiarity with health and safety regulations, Demonstrate customer service skills, and excellent communication skills (via phone, e-mail and in person). Availability to work in shift needed (split shift, weekend, holidays and special occasions) Good physical condition and pleasant personality. College Diploma; Hospitality certification is a plus.
Ideally, should have excellent communication proficiency, customer focus, and organizational skills, Multi task oriented and Stress Management/Composure
