Hostess - Elaia Restaurant
Position: Hostess
Schedule: 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off

We are looking for a dynamic and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact and set the tone for our guests' journey.
The Role:
As the Hostess, you will be the welcoming face of Elaia. You are responsible for managing the front door, creating a positive and lasting first impression, and ensuring the smooth operation of our reservation and seating system. Your professionalism, poise, and organizational skills are key to our restaurant's success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception: Greet all guests with a warm, genuine, and professional welcome as they arrive.
• Reservation Management: Manage the reservation book (e.g., via Resy, OpenTable, or similar) efficiently, confirming bookings and managing the waitlist during busy periods.
• Seating Coordination: Seat guests promptly, considering server sections and table rotations to ensure balanced service and an optimal guest experience.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with the service team and management regarding table status, special guest requests, and potential delays.
• Farewells: Thank guests sincerely as they depart and invite them to return.
• Phone Etiquette: Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, providing information and handling reservation inquiries.
• Maintenance of Entry Area: Ensure the host stand and entrance area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Prior experience as a hostess in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment is highly preferred.
• Impeccable grooming and professional presentation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, friendly, and confident personality with a natural smile.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Proficiency with reservation management software is a plus.
• A team-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality.
