• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS2 curriculum and school standards.
• Teach core subjects (English, Math, Science, and other assigned subjects) with a focus on differentiated instruction.
• Use diverse teaching methods and resources--including technology--to enhance learning.
• Incorporate critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Create a supportive learning environment that fosters independence, confidence, and curiosity.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
• Maintain detailed records of student achievement and prepare progress reports.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Establish clear classroom routines and high expectations for behavior and work habits.
• Manage the classroom effectively to ensure safety, engagement, and respect.
• Uphold school policies related to discipline, safeguarding, and inclusion.
• Foster positive relationships and support students' social-emotional well-being.
• Take part in extracurricular activities, school events, assemblies, and field trips.
• Ensure safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Ensure GEMS policies, procedures and code of conduct are followed at all times.

Skills
Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelors in English or a related scientific field.

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) or upper primary level.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and child development.
