New Generation International Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Homeroom Teacher for Grade 1 to join our dynamic educational community. Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies. Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and understanding. Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Provide individualized tutoring and support for students needing additional help or special education services. Collaborate with specialists in areas such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or autism support to tailor interventions. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations. Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, early childhood education, Montessori methods, or other relevant areas. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities through meetings or written reports. Incorporate library services and writing skills into lesson plans to promote literacy education across the curriculum.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field; advanced certifications preferred. Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 1 or similar early childhood settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and learning technology integration. Familiarity with special education practices including working with children with autism or those requiring early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parents. Demonstrated ability to mentor students individually and in group settings while fostering a supportive learning environment. Experience working in private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous. Proficiency in proofreading, writing skills, and library services is desirable for enriching classroom activities.
