Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable

Home Healthcare Assistant

to provide quality care and support to patients in the comfort of their homes. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, providing basic medical support under supervision, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting. Support mobility needs, including walking, exercise, and transfers from bed to wheelchair. Monitor and report any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Administer medications or perform basic healthcare tasks under the guidance of a registered nurse (if trained and permitted). Provide companionship and emotional support to patients. Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation according to the patient's dietary requirements. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report incidents or observations promptly. Ensure patient safety by following all health, safety, and hygiene protocols. Support family members with patient care guidance as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Home Healthcare Assistant, Caregiver, or similar role. Knowledge of basic health and safety standards for home care. Familiarity with mobility assistance techniques and patient handling. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic attitude. Physical ability to assist patients with lifting, moving, and personal care. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving, nursing assistance, or first aid is preferred.
