Join a team that keeps our business moving Join our Digital Solution-Nexus Controls Team Baker Hughes DS- Nexus control is focused on engineering and services of Nexus DCS, HMI & Cyber security solutions. This role will be involved in all green field and brown field DCS & Cyber Security projects. Partner with the best As a HMI and Network Engineer, you will lead controls software execution and support in improvement of processes and tools in ST controls to increase quality and reduce cycle time As a HMI and Network Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Design and implement HMI applications for controls projects using HMI applications software packages and modern web-based technologies for Power, Oil & Gas, LNG, Chemical and Water Treatment Plants etc.
  • Design communication networks for industrial control system applications using CISCO, Allied Telesis and Hirschmann switches.
  • Provide technical leadership to the project engineering team on the HMI application design aspects.
  • Design and test HMI Screens and configure various network equipments like HMIs, Historians, Managed Switches, Firewalls, Network Time Protocols Server etc.
  • Design and implement industrial communication protocols with third party systems such as OPC, Modbus, IEC Protocols etc.
  • Interpret and translate specific customer requirements into series of actions with quality deliverables.
  • Support customer meetings, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Integrated-FAT of control systems.
  • Support field services team on project installation & commissioning.
  • Provide technical support and feedback to Sales teams on HMI software, hardware, and network designs.
  • Travel as required for supporting field services and sales teams during customer meetings.
  • Apply knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics/Computer System Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong computer skills: experience with Microsoft Windows based applications such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019.
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office applications.
  • Troubleshooting skills in HMI hardware/software, and in communication networking.
  • Understanding of controls applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English, with demonstrated capability to structure and write technical material.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work and meet project engineering schedules.
