Highway Surveyor - Roads and Infrastructure - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Highway Surveyor in Dubai, UAE to support major transportation and RTA infrastructure projects. This on-site role focuses on construction surveying, control point establishment, and alignment verification for roadworks, utilities, and drainage systems, ensuring precision and compliance with approved engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform survey works under the supervision of the Senior Highway Surveyor
• Establish horizontal and vertical control points with accurate documentation
• Conduct pre-construction surveys to verify site conditions and design compliance
• Provide layout and staking support for roads, pavements, curbs, drainage, and utilities
• Monitor contractor alignment, grading, and levels against approved drawings
• Coordinate with contractor surveyors and Resident Engineers to resolve discrepancies
• Verify survey accuracy through traverse closures and bench circuit checks
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment including GPS and total stations
• Prepare and update as-built drawings and detailed survey records
• Ensure compliance with project safety procedures during field operations

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 7-10 years of experience in civil construction and infrastructure projects
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience, preferably on RTA or Dubai Municipality projects
• Approval from relevant UAE authority preferred
• Experience working with EPC contractors or engineering consultants
• Strong understanding of roadworks, grading, and utility layout procedures
