Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of

Welder and Helper

. This position supports welding operations by performing basic welding tasks and assisting skilled welders with material handling, preparation, and cleanup. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, basic welding knowledge, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding Duties:

Perform basic welding tasks such as tack welding, fitting, and grinding. Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) under supervision. Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures. Read and interpret basic blueprints or welding drawings (if applicable). Conduct quality checks and report defects or inconsistencies.

Helper Duties:

Support welders by organizing tools, materials, and equipment. Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding. Move and position heavy materials using hand tools or lifting devices. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist with post-welding processes such as grinding, polishing, or painting. Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick). Prior experience as a welder or helper is an advantage. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Willingness to learn and perform repetitive tasks. Knowledge of workplace safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) is a plus. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and measuring devices.

Work Environment:

Exposure to heat, noise, sparks, and metal fumes. Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Full-time position; may include overtime and weekend shifts.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:

steel & aluminium fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
