The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles in a safe, efficient, and lawful manner. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and site safety regulations while ensuring timely delivery and proper vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, trailers, tankers, or low-bed trucks as assigned
Transport construction materials, machinery, and equipment to and from job sites
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with weight and safety regulations
Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation
Follow traffic laws, site rules, and company safety procedures at all times
Assist with basic loading and unloading when required
Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition
Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers, and dispatchers
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid heavy vehicle driving license .
Minimum 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
Good knowledge of traffic laws and road safety practices
Ability to work long hours and in challenging weather conditions
Physically fit and able to handle job-related tasks
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspections
Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
