Job Description
Our Client - A leading firm into Shipping Industry based in Dubai is looking for Heavy Truck Driver. The role involves operating heavy trucks to ensure safe and timely transportation of goods between locations, prioritizing the delivery of products in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will adhere rigorously to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Position: -Heavy Truck Driver.
- Package: - AED 2100/= + Trip Allowance.
- Other Compensation: - Return ticket once every 2 years.
- Location: -Dubai.
- Specific Requirement: -License No 4 is mandatory and awareness of UAE routes is must.
- Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks for the transportation of goods, strictly adhering to designated routes and schedules.
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and balanced weight distribution, collaborating closely with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, promptly reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and health, safety, and environmental regulations for responsible driving practices.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to receive assignments, updates, and delivery instructions.
- Utilize navigation tools like GPS devices or navigation apps to determine optimal delivery routes.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and essential delivery documentation as per requirements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, professionally addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction during deliveries.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or violations to the appropriate authorities and company management.
- Perform basic maintenance duties such as refueling, cleaning, and minor truck repairs to maintain vehicle condition.
- Adhere to protocols for handling hazardous materials or specialized cargo, where applicable.
- Secondary education preferred.
- Proven heavy truck driving experience with a clean record.
- Required: Valid commercial driver\'s license (CDL) with appropriate heavy truck endorsements.
- Preferred attributes: Bilingual in English/Arabic or English/Hindi; Familiarity with shipping lines, Customs, Ports.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of local and federal traffic regulations.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Attention to detail and precise adherence to instructions.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with navigation tools like GPS devices and apps.
