Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate company vehicles (trucks, tankers, or vans) safely and responsibly in compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Transport cement, construction materials, and related goods to designated project sites accurately and on schedule. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering road conditions and traffic. Handle cash or delivery documentation carefully if required for billing or client verification. Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper maintenance, fuel levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness. Report any accidents, breakdowns, or vehicle issues promptly to the management. Assist with loading and unloading cement and materials, ensuring safe handling and preventing damage. Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, mileage, fuel consumption, expenses, and any incidents during transit. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of self, colleagues, and goods. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues. Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and in good condition at all times. Be flexible to work extended hours or shifts based on operational needs. Ensure proper handling of company property and materials during transit. Track and report daily expenses related to fuel, tolls, or maintenance.

Requirements:

Valid driving license suitable for trucks or heavy vehicles. Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in cement or construction material transport. Good knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and local routes. Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally. Physical fitness to manage loading/unloading and long hours of driving. Strong attention to detail, honesty, and reliability. Basic record-keeping skills for deliveries, fuel, and expenses.

Drivers may be required to work across multiple sites depending on project requirements. Punctuality, integrity, and adherence to company safety policies are mandatory. Training may be provided for company-specific procedures, cement handling, and safety protocols.
