Responsibilities

Safe Driving

Operate heavy trucks such as trailers, tippers, flatbeds, or tankers safely and efficiently. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.

Cargo Transport

Transport heavy loads (materials, equipment, goods) to assigned destinations on time. Ensure the cargo is properly secured and balanced to prevent shifting during transit.

Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections

Conduct daily inspections of the truck to check brakes, lights, tires, fluids, and other key systems. Report mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.

Route Management

Plan and follow the most efficient routes to save time and fuel. Use maps or GPS to navigate unfamiliar areas and avoid restricted roads or low bridges.

Loading and Unloading

Supervise or assist in loading/unloading cargo using cranes, forklifts, or manually as needed. Verify delivery documents, manifests, or shipping papers for accuracy.

Log and Documentation

Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and delivery schedules. Complete required forms such as delivery notes, inspection sheets, and vehicle logs.

Vehicle Maintenance

Keep the truck clean and in good working condition. Schedule or assist in routine maintenance and servicing.

Regulatory Compliance

Hold a valid heavy vehicle driving license (e.g., UAE Category 4 or equivalent). Comply with weight limits, road permits, and transport regulations.

Emergency Response

Handle breakdowns, accidents, or road emergencies calmly and report incidents immediately. Know basic troubleshooting for issues like tire blowouts or overheating.

Customer Interaction

Communicate politely with clients, suppliers, or warehouse personnel. Represent the company in a professional and responsible manner.
