Job Title: Heavy Truck Driver

Reports To: Transportation/Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to transport goods and materials over long distances or within a designated region. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy trucks (e.g., dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tanker) safely and efficiently.

Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure and safe transport.

Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report any mechanical issues.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, distance travelled, and cargo records.

Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff as needed.

Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report major repairs.

Ensure the cleanliness and proper upkeep of the truck.

Qualifications:

High school or Higher.

Valid commercial driver's license.

Minimum 3 years of heavy truck driving experience.

Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety standards.

Ability to work independently and handle long hours and/or overnight trips.

Physical stamina to lift heavy items and sit for long periods.
