Heavy Duty Driver

Job Title: Heavy Duty Driver
Department: Logistics / Transport
Reporting To: Transport Manager / Fleet Supervisor
Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Driver to transport goods and materials using heavy trucks. The role involves ensuring the timely and secure delivery of cargo while strictly adhering to traffic laws and company safety standards. The ideal candidate must be punctual, responsible, and have a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and drive heavy-duty trucks (e.g., multi-axle trucks, concrete mixers, dump trucks) to transport goods and materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical soundness.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure on-time deliveries and pick-ups.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and distributed according to safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and other required documentation.
• Comply with all UAE traffic laws, company policies, and transportation regulations.
• Conduct basic vehicle maintenance (e.g., checking oil, water, tires) and report any major issues or repairs needed.
• Interact with clients in a professional manner during delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Mandatory: Valid UAE Heavy Bus & Truck Driving License (License No. 4).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Driver.
• A clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, highways, and traffic regulations.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Physically fit to handle loading/unloading and securement of cargo.
• Strong time-management skills and a high sense of responsibility.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
