Operate heavy/tractor-trailer trucks safely and efficiently.
Follow all traffic laws, road signs, and company policies.
Plan routes using GPS or maps, adapting to traffic/diversions.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, oil, lights).
Report serious mechanical problems promptly.
Load and unload goods, sometimes with assistance (forklifts, pallet jacks).
Secure cargo with chains, straps, or covers to prevent damage.
Verify load accuracy and complete delivery paperwork.
Maintain accurate logs (working hours, mileage, fuel).
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics teams.
Report accidents, incidents, or delays immediately.
Keep the truck and equipment clean and in good working order.
Refuel and perform basic maintenance.
Provide professional customer service at delivery points.
Comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations (e.g., Hours of Service).
Ensure valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean record.
