The Heavy Driver is responsible for safely operating heavy vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and manpower required for connection works (such as electrical, water, gas, telecom, or infrastructure connections). The role ensures timely delivery, safe handling of equipment, and compliance with traffic and company safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, tippers, boom trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Transport cables, pipes, poles, transformers, tools, and other materials to project sites.
Assist site teams during loading, unloading, and positioning of materials.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Ensure vehicles are maintained in clean and roadworthy condition.
Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
Coordinate with site supervisors and dispatch teams for daily assignments.
Support emergency or urgent connection works when required.
Ensure proper use of PPE and promote a safe working environment.
