A Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers along assigned routes, ensuring a comfortable and timely journey. This includes maintaining vehicle cleanliness, following traffic laws, and providing courteous customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operate buses on scheduled routes or private trips (e.g., staff, school, public).
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops or locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow traffic laws and safety regulations.
Keep the bus clean and presentable.
Report any mechanical issues or incidents to supervisors.
Assist passengers with disabilities or special needs, if required.
Maintain logbooks and route records as required by company policy.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving license (e.g., UAE - Heavy Bus License No. 6).
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Minimum 2 years of driving experience (preferably in bus or heavy vehicle operation).
Knowledge of traffic rules, safety regulations, and local routes.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
