- Required: Health and Safety Engineer to work in a contracting company in Abu Dhabi qualifications: 1. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree. Or an equivalent degree in Environmental/Safety Engineering or any related engineering discipline from an accredited university. 2. Recognized UAE health and safety education, certifications, license or training (eg. NEBOSH, NEBOSH IDIP would be preferred but not mandatory, OSHA, First Aid, Fire Safety etc.). 3. More than 10 years of experience working as an engineer within the United Arab Emirates in the field of construction. 4. It is preferable to register in the OSHAD system. Another Required Aldar or Musanada or ADNOC, - Roles and responsibilities of a HSE engineer: The HSE Engineer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 1- Review and update the ISO-9001, 14001 and 45001 standards in addition to the entity\xe2\x80\x99s Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OHSMS) and prepare reports through performance. 2- A Develop safety protocols for new technology or requirements and implement them throughout the company. 3- Preparing tender documents and attending the meeting with the consultant and clients 4- Implement the client and consultant\xe2\x80\x99s HSE policy, HSE plan, HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance and HSE objectives and propose measures for further improvement. 5- Conduct training/internal and external audits and submit reports. 6- Liaise with company project managers for various projects and subcontractors to -improve and implement corporate HSE management ethics. - Monitor the workplace to ensure the implementation of established safety measures. 2- Preparing the health, safety and environment plan, risk assessment and other health, safety and environment procedures for the company\xe2\x80\x99s various projects and ensuring their implementation 3- Review and monitor monthly HSE inspections/reports, hold monthly safety meetings, and set target to achieve outstanding issues. 4- Prepare and review emergency preparedness and response, work permit system, Toolbox talks, HSE meetings, HSE statistics and various company project records as per consultant and client requirements. Be an expert in investigating incidents/events and submitting reports to the relevant client and sector regulatory body.
