Job Description

Job Summary:
The Head Waiter is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and coordinating the waitstaff to provide a seamless dining experience. They act as a liaison between guests, kitchen staff, and management, ensuring smooth service and high standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:

• Greet guests warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Assist in seating arrangements and manage reservations as needed.

2. Staff Supervision & Coordination:

• Train, mentor, and supervise waitstaff, bussers, and hosts.
• Assign sections and duties to servers to ensure balanced workload.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate specials, promotions, and service expectations.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Restaurant Manager.

3. Service Management:

• Oversee the flow of service, ensuring timely food and beverage delivery.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and adherence to restaurant standards.
• Assist waitstaff during peak hours to maintain service efficiency.

4. Operational Duties:

• Monitor inventory of serving supplies (cutlery, glassware, napkins, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Handle cashiering duties, including processing payments and balancing cash registers (if required).
• Assist in planning and executing special events or private functions.
