Job Purpose

The Head Teacher is responsible for leading the teaching team to deliver a high-quality early years education program in line with EYFS and TTN standards. This role involves ensuring effective curriculum planning, mentoring staff, safeguarding children, and working closely with the management to create a nurturing, safe, and enriching learning environment. Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Management

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children. Provide leadership, mentorship, and daily support to teaching and support staff. Promote a positive team culture and uphold professional standards. Liaise effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders. Assist management with event execution and nursery layout planning. Check inventory and authorise resource orders from teachers based on current stock levels.

2. Curriculum Oversight & Child Development

Ensure curriculum planning supports holistic development and aligns with EYFS and TTN guidelines. Review weekly teacher planners (every Thursday) to maintain consistency and quality across classes. Monitor student progress and work with staff to support individual learning needs. Promote bilingual education and multicultural awareness in daily activities. Guide play-based and structured learning to reflect developmentally appropriate practice.

3. Staff Training & Performance Monitoring

Monitor staff performance and classroom practice; provide constructive feedback. Identify training needs and suggest relevant workshops or courses to the management team. Ensure adherence to safeguarding, inclusion, and child protection policies.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in classrooms. Support the nursery nurse with incident reports, health records, and staff training logs. Review children's achievement reports and developmental checklists to ensure accurate documentation. Step in to support the Nursery Manager in operational matters as required.

Job Specification

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. CACHE Level 5 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent recognized certification). Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Teacher in an early years setting.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
