Head of Supply Chain Operations Grade: 3 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company as a Governance Manager. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems' commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA. Be the senior supply chain point-of-contact to assist in business integration, project performance, communications, issue resolution and customer satisfaction. Direct and lead the supply chain team based in KSA. Ensure that the supply chain meets all assurance and governance criteria and supports all aspects of maintaining Continuing Airworthiness. Direct and manage all aspects of the spares and repairs business to ensure that SMSCMCs reputation in KSA across our customer base is enhanced and is recognised for its significant contribution to our Strategy. Develop efficiencies into the supply chain to reduce costs, improve performance and deliver increased margins to the business. Ensure project compliance with the Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management (LCM) process and maximise customer satisfaction by the delivery of Project Managed products and services to the highest standards. Implementation of the communications policy to engage and inform supply chain personnel, vendors, partners, and the customer base. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Accountable for all aspects of the supply chain business in accordance with company policies and procedures. Leading and managing the personnel within the team for whom they are responsible. Delivery of those aspects of the programme for which they are responsible to achieve the following: Meet or exceed the key project financial parameters. Develop the supply chain personnel to achieve Saudisation targets Meet or exceed customer expectations to achieve financial and operational performance. Drive and lead the achievement of improvements to customer satisfaction. Deliver the project to both internal milestones. Resource the project to achieve maximum efficiency of IBP budgets. Provide supply chain capability expert domain knowledge to achieve acceptable performance standards in KSA industry. Compliance with the Operational Framework and LCM mandates and principles. Control and direction of the budget, resource levels and capabilities within the Supply Chain team to ensure that they are capable of meeting and discharging the programme's obligations and customer expectations. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Accountable for the achievement of compliancy with the Operational Framework, LCM and R&O management. Project management of complex major multi-national contracts over a significant and diverse vendor base. Vendor interface and management with in-Kingdom and leading UK, Europe and USA industries. Experience in leading customer interface regarding affordability, cash flow, profit and revenue. Management of large, multifunctional, multi-business teams in very large multi-national environment in a complex, demanding and responsive support environment. Degree in related subject, preferably Supply Chain Management or Business Management Project Management experience with specific experience in a Supply Chain capability role. Management of a large and complex support project with a proven record of delivering business, project performance and customer satisfaction. Experienced practitioner in the execution and application of the Operational Framework and LCM. Experience of leading large, multifunction and multi-disciplinary teams. Extensive knowledge of supply chain capabilities, skill-sets and the resources required for successful deployment.
