Due to continued expansion and growth, Dubai British School Jumeirah Park are recruiting for Heads of Secondary to join their thriving school, set in the heart of the Jumeirah Park community, in Dubai. Primary Purpose of role: The core purpose of this role is to provide professional, highly effective leadership and management that will achieve outstanding results in all aspects of Secondary School life. The Secondary Headteacher promotes an inspiring vision and clear direction that is shared by all members of the Secondary School and the Senior Leadership Team. Ultimately, the Secondary Headteacher is responsible for ensuring that the curriculum, teaching and assessment practices inspire outstanding levels of engagement, achievement and progress for students of all abilities. Key Relationships: Principal, Vice-Principal, Senior Leadership Team, Deputy Head of Secondary School, Secondary Leadership Team, Subject Leaders, Heads of Year, Secondary Students and Parents, Admissions Team, Facilities Team, Marketing Team, External Agencies and Service Providers, Primary Teachers and Support Staff Position Requirements: Education: Honours degree and PGCE/QTS essential. High qualification (MA, MEd, NPQH etc.) desirable. Experience: At least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 school management/senior leadership in a similar setting Competencies: outstanding educational practitioner; proven track record of developing and sustaining the highest academic standards; detailed knowledge of international accreditation, inspection and evaluation frameworks; experience of impactful strategic planning; experience in developing and/or sustaining high performance teams; excellent communication skills in both spoken and written form; effective relationship management with a variety of stakeholders; thorough knowledge of child protection and health and safety.
