Our client is a leading exchange house based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in Forex operations. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of risk management and consumer protection in their business activities.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Head of Risk & Consumer Protection Unit to identify potential risks in advance, measure, evaluate, record, mitigate, and monitor risks to reduce their impact on the business. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in risk management within a financial institution and a proven track record in leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Identification:

Proactively identify potential risks and assess their impact on the business.

Risk Management:

Develop and implement strategies to measure, evaluate, record, mitigate, and monitor risks.

Consumer Protection:

Ensure robust consumer protection measures are in place and adhered to.

Policy Development:

Create and update risk management policies and procedures.

Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Reporting:

Provide regular reports to senior management on risk status and mitigation activities.

Requirements

Experience:

Substantial experience in the risk management field within a financial institution (Forex, financial services, or banking sectors, or Exchange Houses).

Certification:

A primary risk certification such as FRM, PRM, CERA, or CRP.

Leadership:

A minimum of five years of relevant leadership experience in risk management.
