Global Forwarding Freight - United Arab Emirates has an opening for a Head of Rail Competence Centre where you will oversee operations for the Rail & Road Freight Department. Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

In this Head of Rail Competence Centre position

• You will take full ownership of and drive all our road freight activities in Country/Rail Competence Centre allocated business leveraging our unique digital Saloodo! Platform.
• You will develop plans to grow the road freight business in a profitable manner and constantly monitor progress.
• You will oversee, develop, and manage all rail & road freight operations as well as analyses daily, weekly, and monthly development of key KPIs.
• You will identify new opportunities to grow and expand the customer base, actively engage with customers to develop our business.
• You will ensure that the Saloodo! Digital platform provides consistent customer experience to carrier & shippers \xe2\x80\x93 considering local requirements as needed.
• You will actively manage key stakeholders on various levels \xe2\x80\x93 Country Management, regional management, own team, shippers & carriers to drive the success of the rail & road freight department.
• You will manage country teams who perform day to day responsibilities such as customer service, incident management or carrier review meetings.
• You will establish regular carrier meetings and ensures that these are conducted for all key carriers.
• You will ensure compliance with company/ local statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security environment & quality.
• You will engage with Sales and Marketing to sell solution internally and externally and work on RFQ/RFI\xe2\x80\x99s for business allocated to Control Tower.
• You will work with key stakeholders to ensure Control Tower operations provides on-time service for

+ Pre-carriage activities within country allocated to Control Tower
+ Cross-border movement within countries allocated to Control Tower
+ Customs agent/Customs team for green light process for clearance
+ Customs agent/Customs team for timely clearance as per agreed timeline
+ Provide customer with timely update on shipment status

Now, here\xe2\x80\x99s what we need from you

• A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• 7 years of operational Rail and Road freight experience
• Management and Leadership experience, ability to manage in matrix setup
• Interest in digital solutions
