Our client, world's largest Oil & Gas company, is urgently looking for a "Head of Occupational Health, and Medical & Case Management" willing to work under the following conditions for an upcoming project: Terms and Conditions Work Location: Qatar Onshore Contract duration: 36 Months - 2 Years Working Schedule: 10 hrs./day - 6 days/week - 26 days/month With Minimum Requirement Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health or Nursing.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or similar.
  • SHES related Lead Auditor certified.
  • International Trauma Life Support certification.
Knowledge and/or Experience:
  • 10 years' experience in Occupational Health.
  • International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
Technical and Business Skills
  • Strong leadership skills and good ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Able to cope with excessive workload and stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to develop SHES related plans, procedures and documents, and review and comment on technical documents.
  • Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain a world-class SHES performance.
  • Creates high quality and accurate output in a timely manner.
  • Team player who can effectively collaborate within Project Teams and with external parties.
  • Establishes and sustains credibility with peers, subordinates and supervisors.
  • Takes responsibility for own work products and can perform at high level without supervision.
  • Computer literate and confident user of Microsoft office applications, email and internet.
Roles And Responsibility
  • Contributes to the establishment of the project medical and health management process, including case management and medical record keeping for NFS Onshore, in-line with Project, COMPANY Medical policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements. Supports the investigation of personal injuries and illnesses, as well as communicable diseases.
  • Ensure that project medical and health management procedures are aligned with Project, COMPANY, CLIENT and RLIC requirements as well as legal requirements of the State of Qatar.
  • Review all Health Management System requirements (health deliverables) for the EPC phase of the project in consideration of project requirements and regulatory bodies (e.g. MoPH, Qatar Petroleum (CLIENT) and Project and COMPANY health requirements).
  • Support the EPC CONTRACTOR(s) with Case Management and follow-up of injury and illness cases with Company Medical and state/ legal authorities. Support the development, implementation and monitoring of communicable disease prevention and mitigation plans (e.g. COVID-19, chicken pox, measles).
  • Support the development of a centralized database to report, record and track all injuries and illnesses, as well as confidential health management aspects, including fitness to work requirements and records of all project personnel. Contribute to periodic injury and illness statistics and analysis, developing recommendations, and reporting to project management.
  • Support the establishment of medical facilities for the NFS Onshore, including tools, equipment, consumables and manpower.
  • Supports the objective of the timely issuance of medical license for the medical facilities by relevant regulatory bodies to ensure smooth on-boarding of EPC CONTRACTOR(s) with the support of the CONTRACTOR(s) medical teams and COMPANY medical.
  • Interface as key focal point between relevant health representatives including regulatory bodies, Company, CLIENT and EPC CONTRACTOR(s).
  • Review EPC CONTRACTOR(s) medical candidates to ensure they meet project requirements and secure approval from necessary parties.
  • Identify potential medical emergencies during the EPC phase of the project and support the preparation of medical emergency response and recovery requirements including resource requirements.
